Location: Fine Arts Center, Middle School Art Room
Description: Students will create sculpture and hand-built pottery using pinch, coil, slab, and drape mold construction techniques. Students will also have experience on the potter's wheel. Each piece will be finished with glazes, stains, or acrylic paints. The camp fee covers all supplies.
What to Bring: Please bring an old shirt or smock to cover clothing.
Instructor: Rosalind Cooper holds a Masters Degree in Art Education, with major areas of concentration in ceramics and textile design. She has taught art for over 25 years. Her summer classes are known for their rich variety of "project" choices. The broad array of media used includes ceramics, paints, silk screening, mosaic, stained glass and more.
