Program Description: In this new, exciting art offering participants will have the opportunity to experience the magic of glass fusion. They will select multiple pieces of glass and with the aid of a kiln create a new piece of glass. Once they have mastered this technique, several projects will follow; including a 5" plate, a night light, assorted jewelry pieces, holiday ornaments, and a 4x6 glass picture. Glass fusion is currently very popular in the art world, and along with their new knowledge of this technique, campers will finish several projects that they will be proud to share and display.

Instructors: Rosalind Cooper holds a Masters Degree in Art Education, with major areas of concentration in ceramics and textile design. She has taught art for over 25 years. Her summer classes are known for their rich variety of "project" choices. The broad array of media used includes ceramics, paints, silk screening, mosaic, stained glass and more. Mrs. Cooper will be joined by Dan Hohl, a local artist, who has assisted her with a wide variety of summer art programs for the past 7 years.
