Under the Sea Art

Age: Rising k-2nd grade
Location: LS PK-1st Grade Art Room in the Lower School Fine Arts Center
Program Description: While exploring multiple art-making methods in this half-day camp with Miss.McCarthy,students will be experimenting with salt, sand, water and paint! Each day we’ll create something amazing and enjoy a snack together. Some creations include an under the sea themed sculpture and an underwater painting to take home! Friday will feature an Art Show for the last hour of camp that family and friends can attend! Students will bring home at least three completed projects.
Equipment: Clothing to get a little messy in and a water bottle!
Instructor: Kristen McCarthy has taught PK-1st grade Art at Ravenscroft since 2019! She has received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from High Point University. She
enjoys creating, getting messy, and experimenting with art of all kinds. When
Miss.McCarthy is not teaching, she enjoys playing with her one-year-old puppy Willow, video games with her fiance, and traveling! She is planning on exploring; a little bit in
Alaska at the beginning of this summer.
