Hill Center Summer Program at Ravenscroft
Dates: June 24-July 26, 2019 (No sessions on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5)

Location: Ravenscroft Lower School, Rooms 112-120
The Lower School Program provides five weeks of daily instruction in the areas of reading, written language, and math.
Modeled after the flagship Hill School Year curriculum, this academic summer program uses research-based methodologies and individualized multisensory instruction, delivered in a 4:1 student-teacher ratio by caring, expert educators.
Students are assessed at the start of the program, and throughout, to ensure we are meeting the child where they are.
Program features include meet and greet with Faculty, open house, written progress reports, and parent conferences.
*Students do not need a formal LD/ADHD diagnosis to attend any of our Summer Offerings.
Hill Center Summer Offerings do reach capacity. The recommended application due date is March 1, although applications are considered after this date.

The Hill Center was established in 1977 in Durham, North Carolina as the Hill Learning Development Center, with a mission to provide an intensive remediation program for students with specific learning disabilities or attention deficit disorders. Originally established as an adjunct program of nearby Durham Academy, in 1980 the Center was dedicated to founder George Watts Hill (pictured on right with his wife Anne Hill) and renamed The Hill Center. In 1998, The Hill Center became a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with its own Board of Directors. Today, Hill operates as an affiliate of Durham Academy and serves a range of public and private school students, teachers, schools, and school districts.
