Location: LS PK-1st Grade Art Room in the Lower School Fine Arts Center
Program Description: In this summer half-day camp learners will create their very own fairy garden magical
world by using their imaginations, art supplies and garden supplies. Each day we’ll
create something amazing and enjoy a snack together. Some creations include flower
crowns, air dried clay toadstools/bugs and a fairy garden door! Students will bring home
a small fairy garden that they have created and worked hard on all week and on Friday
fairy hair will be provided to students (with permission from parents).
Equipment: Clothing to get a little messy in and a water bottle!
Instructor: Kristen McCarthy has taught PK-1st grade Art at Ravenscroft since 2019! She has received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from High Point University. She
enjoys creating, getting messy, and experimenting with art of all kinds. When
Miss.McCarthy is not teaching, she enjoys playing with her one-year-old puppy Willow, video games with her fiance, and traveling! She is planning on exploring; a little bit in
Alaska at the beginning of this summer.
