Instructor: Amelia Karpowitz has taught Art to young artists ranging from PK-5th grade at Ravenscroft since 2016. She enjoys creating art in a wide variety of media, including painting, drawing, sculpting, and mixed media. Ms. K has a Bachelors of Arts in Humanities with an emphasis in English and Art History from Brigham Young University, and is finishing her Masters Degree in Art Education from the University of Nebraska-Kearney this summer! When she is not teaching or in class herself, she enjoys watching TV/movies and playing board games with her husband, Joel (also a teacher here at Ravenscroft!). She relaxes by cross-stitching, reading, practicing yoga and running/walking in the beautiful wooded areas of Raleigh. Ms. K has a dog named Finn and a cat named Scout who are her favorite little cuddle buddies.
