General Camp Information & Dates
Ravenscroft has been hosting summer camps on our beautiful North Raleigh campus for 41 years. All of our summer camps are open to the local community, we love to welcome campers from Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, Durham, Chapel Hill and throughout the Triangle! We offer programs for boys and girls that range in age from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade.
Online registration, for 2022 camps, will open on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023.
Camps will run from Monday, June 12 through Friday, August 4 in the summer of 2023.
How to Register
Registration for all Ravenscroft Summer Programs will be processed online. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and many camps will fill up quickly. Therefore, we encourage early registration. The online registration system will remain open and available until the first day of individual camps (except Ravens Nest). Online registration for Summer 2023 camps will open on Jan. 17, 2023.
At the conclusion of the online registration process you will receive a confirmation email sent to the email address that you provided during registration. This email is automatic and is sent via the online system as soon as the registration is processed.
**It is important that you retain this email, as it contains all of the pertinent information (time, date, campus location, etc.) related to the camp(s) that you have registered your child for.**
**In the confirmation email, there will be details as to the parking lot drop off location for your camp.
You will not receive any additional confirmation of your registration other than this email so, as stated earlier, it is important for you to retain it so that you can access the camp information it contains. If you feel that you did not receive a confirmation email, please check for it in all of your inbox folders (including spam), if you are unable to locate it, then contact the Summer Programs Office.
The Ravenscroft Summer Programs team strives to create an environment in which each and every camper can experience a fun and memorable time on our campus. It is our pledge to our Summer Programs families that we will promote and maintain a safe, positive environment that encourages self-confidence and personal development while taking part in all of our camp programs.
With this philosophy in mind, if your child has a physical/medical condition that may require an accommodation in order for him or her to participate in the camp, activity or program in which you are considering registering them we ask that you contact our Summer Programs Director, Daniel Resner , prior to your registration. This contact will allow for the opening of a dialogue to determine whether or not the specific camp program(s) will be appropriate for your child.
Concurrent Camps: Campers who are registered for Camp Ravens Nest can also be registered for other half camp programs on our campus. If you choose to register your child for a "concurrent" camp, then they can dropped off at Ravens Nest in the morning and Ravens Nest staff will escort them to/from their other camp, they can then be picked from Camp Ravens Nest. They will also be able to eat lunch in the Dining Hall with the other Ravens Nest campers. In addition, if you register your child for a "concurrent" camp, then the Ravens Nest fee will be discounted 30% for that week. Please Note: We don't discount the Ravens Nest fee 60% if your child is in two "concurrent" camps.
***Our registration system is not currently processing the concurrent discounts associated with Camp Ravens Nest properly. If you register for Camp Ravens Nest and a concurrent program, please contact Dan Ressner, Director of Auxiliary Services and Summer Programs, after you have completed your online registration and then he will process the concurrent discount for you manually.**

- Cancellations received on or before May 15, will be entitled to a full refund less a $25.00 cancellation fee per program.
- There will be no refund if cancellation takes place after a program begins or if a camper is suspended from a program due to failure to abide by Ravenscroft code of conduct. Verified medical/hardship situations will be dealt with on an individual basis.
- There will be no refund if a child is suspended from a program due to parent behavior.
4. Our online registration system provider also provides their own form of refund insurance via pop up in our registration system. This is independent of Ravenscroft summer programs and we do not have access to those funds.
ACTIVE Refund is an optional protection your consumers can add at checkout. The program allows for the end user to submit a claim for a refund through ACTIVE (portal, email or by phone) for any reason should they want to no longer attend one of Ravenscroft's summer programs. There is NO restriction in regards to the reason for the cancellation, it can be anything from they no longer wish to attend to sickness. The claim just needs to be submitted 2 days prior to the start of a program. When a consumer purchases ACTIVE Refund they are provided the necessary claim information in their confirmation email. Terms and Conditions for Participants: https://refund.
Pick Up/Drop Off Policy
Campers are to be dropped off and picked up promptly at a designated parking lot location that was communicated in the confirmation email. Families who leave their children unattended on campus will be subject to their child being suspended from the camp program. A campus map is included in the confirmation email that registrants receive at the conclusion of the registration process.
Ravenscroft also posts summer camp staff at three locations throughout the campus on Monday mornings to help you find your camp program.
Health and Wellness for Summer Camps
Campers will have access to staff from the Jones Health Center between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Our nurses provide clinical services ranging from tending to a skinned knee to managing complex medical conditions and administering prescribed medications. Additionally, Ravenscroft has certified athletic trainers and other staff members trained and equipped to attend to campers should the need arise outside of Jones Health Center hours.
After registering, you will receive an email from Magnus Health, our secure online health portal, directing you to provide some general health/medical information in an electronic form called the VHR (Vital Health Record) by Magnus. Those campers who will need medication dispensed during camp hours will also need their parents and doctor to complete a Prescription Medication Form and upload it to Magnus.
