For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.
Community, Culture and Belonging
At the core of Ravenscroft’s mission to “nurture individual potential and prepare students to thrive in a complex and interdependent world” is a deep commitment to create and sustain a community where all Ravens — students, faculty and staff, alumni and families — are respected, feel safe and have a sense of belonging.
Our work in this space is guided by our board-adopted Statement of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and overseen by the Director of Community, Culture and Belonging in partnership with the Dean of Community, Culture and Belonging and an interdisciplinary, cross-divisional team of educators. Our strategic efforts call for focus on people, programs and community.
People: For students to thrive, they must learn from faculty that represent the complex and interdependent world in which they will live. Ravenscroft will continue to expand the representation of our faculty to reflect that world and enhance our current faculty’s ability to teach across a diverse student body.
Programs: In order to nurture individual potential, our curriculum must provide robust opportunities to experience and learn lessons of humanity unconstrained by any racial bias.
Community: Every member of our community should feel they are safe and an integral part of the Ravenscroft community and should be able to realize the full benefits of a Ravenscroft education.
Statement of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
At Ravenscroft, we believe it is the responsibility of each person in our community to embrace diversity, equity and inclusion in every aspect of school life — from our classrooms to our boardroom, from the arts to athletics.
We listen to, empathize with, learn from, and value our differences, both visible and invisible. We are committed to fostering an atmosphere of unyielding curiosity where students, faculty, staff, alumni and families are respected, feel safe, and have a sense of belonging.
In turn, we build citizen leaders equipped to thrive in a complex and interdependent world and change it for the better.
