All of our summer camps are open to the local community, and we love to welcome campers from Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, Durham, Chapel Hill and throughout the Triangle!
We offer a variety of programs for boys and girls that range in age from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade.
Online registration for summer 2026 camps, will open on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at 9:00 am for Ravenscroft families.
Online registration for the general public opens on Monday, Jan. 26. 2026, at 9:00 am.
For Summer 2026, camps will run from Monday, June 8, through Friday, July 31.
Also for Summer 2026, there will be no camps on Friday, June 19, and the week of June 29-July 3, 2026.
How to Register/When to Register
Registration for all Ravenscroft Summer Programs will be processed via our online registration portal.
*Online registration for Summer 2026 camps will open on Jan. 14, 2026 for Ravenscroft families and on Jan. 26, 2026 for the general public.*
Beginning on Jan. 14, 2026. The online registration link will only be available in the Ravenscroft Parent Portal. This will allow Ravenscroft families to have exclusive access to the online registration portal. On Monday, Jan. 26, 2026 links to the online portal will be added to the public pages, this will provide access for the general public to register.
Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and many camps will fill up quickly. Therefore, we encourage early registration.
Our online registration system closes registration for most of the upcoming week's camps on the Wednesday prior to the camp week at 12:00 pm. Please note- there a few camps that close registration earlier.
If you want to register for a camp after the online registration system closes, please email Dan Ressner or Dominique Taylor and we will see if it is possible to add additional campers at that time.
Camper Eligibility
The Ravenscroft Summer Programs team strives to create an environment in which each and every camper can experience a fun and memorable time on our campus. All camps are open to the general public.
It is our pledge to our Summer Programs families that we will promote and maintain a safe, positive environment that encourages self-confidence and personal development while taking part in all of our camp programs.
With this philosophy in mind, if your child has a physical/medical condition that may require an accommodation in order for him or her to participate in the camp, activity or program in which you are considering registering them we ask that you contact our Summer Programs Director, Daniel Ressner, prior to your registration.
This contact will allow for the opening of a dialogue to determine whether or not the specific camp program(s) will be appropriate for your child.
Methods of Payment
Our online registration system will accept Visa, Discover and Master Cards.
Electronic Bank checks are also acceptable and should be made payable to Ravenscroft School.
In 2026, for the first time Ravenscroft is offering registrants the option to select a payment plan at the time of checkout. Full payment for all camps no longer is due at time of registration.
Payment Plan Details are as Follows
1. Those choosing the payment plan option will need to pay 20% of the total fees at the time of checkout.
2. Payments are spread over four months (until May 15). Final payments for all camps will be due on May 15 and the payment plan option will expire at that time.
3. Funds will be drafted from the credit card provided during the checkout process on the 15th of each month.
*Ravenscroft Summer Programs Offers Discounts for all Ravenscroft Faculty & Staff and Ravenscroft Alumni, please contact Dan Ressner directly for more information on these discounts.
Refund Policy
All summer programs require a minimum enrollment. In the event the program must be canceled, you will be notified at least four weeks prior to the start date. The entire program fee will be fully refundable when the program is canceled by Ravenscroft.
All other program fees are refundable as follows:
- Camp fees may be refundable, depending on the date of the cancellation, minus the non refundable registration fee and a cancellation fee. If you just need to transfer to a different week or camp, we can help, if such an option is available.
- Canceling before February 2? Receive a full refund with no cancellation fee!
- Canceling on or before April 1? Refund minus a $75 cancellation fee.
- Canceling Between April 2–May 15? Refund minus a $100 cancellation fee.
- Canceling After May 15th up until the week before your camp begins? Refund minus a $150 cancellation fee.
- Canceling the week before camp (June 1-7) ? Refunds are not available. (Please remember that we can help you transfer to a different week or camp — if available)
- There will be no refund if cancellation is received after a camp program begins or if a camper is suspended from a program due to failure to abide by Ravenscroft code of conduct. Verified medical/hardship situations will be dealt with on an individual basis.
- There will be no refund if a child is suspended from a program due to parent behavior.
- Ravenscroft does not provide prorated or partial week refunds if a camper does not attend some days of the camp week. The only exception to this policy is if a camper is injured during camp and is unable to participate in the camp for the rest of the week.
- Our online registration system provider (Active Network) also provides their own form of refund insurance via pop up in our registration system. This is independent of Ravenscroft summer programs and we do not have access to those funds. See below for more details.
ACTIVE Refund is an optional protection your consumers can add at checkout. The program allows for the end user to submit a claim for a refund through ACTIVE (portal, email or by phone) for any reason should they want to no longer attend one of Ravenscroft's summer programs. There is NO restriction in regards to the reason for the cancellation, it can be anything from they no longer wish to attend to sickness. The claim just needs to be submitted 2 days prior to the start of a program. When a consumer purchases ACTIVE Refund they are provided the necessary claim information in their confirmation email. Terms and Conditions for Participants: https://refund.
Concurrent Camp Registration & Camp Discounts
Campers who are registered for Camp Ravens Nest can also be registered for other half day camp programs on our campus.
If you choose to register your child for a "concurrent" camp, then they can dropped off at Ravens Nest in the morning and Ravens Nest staff will escort them to/from their other camp, they can then be picked from Camp Ravens Nest. They will also be able to eat lunch in the Dining Hall with the other Ravens Nest campers.
In addition, if you register your child for a "concurrent" camp, then the Ravens Nest fee will be discounted 30% for that week. Please Note: We don't discount the Ravens Nest fee 60% if your child is in two "concurrent" camps.
In order to receive the concurrent discount, you must register your camper for Camp Ravens Nest and a concurrent program in the same week. At the conclusion of the registration form, in the third section, you will have the opportunity to answer questions that ask if you are entitled to a concurrent discount for each of the seven weeks of camp. If you have registered your camper for Camp Ravens Nest and a concurrent camp for any week, please answer the question for that week with a yes. Once you continue to cart the concurrent discount will be deducted in your amount owed.
Ravenscroft Summer Programs also offers Discounts for all Ravenscroft Faculty & Staff and Ravenscroft Alumni, please contact Dan Ressner directly for more information on these discounts.
Confirmation Email & Camp Communications
At the conclusion of the online registration process you will receive a confirmation email sent to the email address that you provided during registration. This email is automatic and is sent via the online system as soon as the registration is processed.
**It is important that you retain this email, as it contains all of the pertinent information (time, date, campus location, etc.) related to the camp(s) that you have registered your child(ren) for.**
If you feel that you did not receive a confirmation email, please check for it in all of your inbox folders (including spam), if you are unable to locate it, then contact the Summer Programs Office.
This is also important because we will send all of camp related communications to the email address provided during registration and if it is incorrect then you will not receive the subsequent conversations.
There will be additional communications throughout the spring and you will receive two emails prior to the camp week, one from the summer programs office that will provide information about campus access, a photo release, and other key details. You can also expect to receive an email from the camp instructor in the week prior to the camp.
Pick Up/Drop Off Policy
Campers are to be dropped off and picked up promptly at a designated camp location that was communicated in the confirmation email, a campus map is also attached to the confirmation email to help you find your camp location. We also send a email the week prior to camp that provides this information again, just in case you cannot locate your confirmation email!
We typically provide a fifteen minute window for drop off/pick up. Meaning that you can drop your camper(s) off beginning fifteen minutes prior to the camp's published start time (ie. 8:45 am for a camp that begins at 9:00 am). We also ask that all campers are picked up within fifteen minutes of the camp's conclusion (ie. 4:15 pm for a camp that ends at 4:00 pm).
Families will be contacted if their camper(s) is not picked up by the appointed time and the camper(s) will be escorted to Camp Ravens Nest where they will be supervised until a parent/guardian can come pick them up.
Families who leave their children unattended on campus or fail to pick them up in a timely manner more than once will be subject to their child being suspended from the camp program.
Health and Wellness Policies for Summer Camps
Campers will have access to staff from the Jones Health Center between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Our nurses provide clinical services ranging from tending to a skinned knee to managing complex medical conditions and administering prescribed medications.
Additionally, Ravenscroft has certified athletic trainers and other staff members trained and equipped to attend to campers should the need arise outside of Jones Health Center hours.
After registering, you will receive an email from Magnus Health, our secure online health portal, directing you to provide some general health/medical information in an electronic form called the VHR (Vital Health Record) by Magnus.
Those campers who will need medication dispensed during camp hours will also need their parents and doctor to complete a Prescription Medication Form and upload it to Magnus.
Waitlists
All summer camp programs have a waitlist. Our online registration system will start taking waitlist registrations once the camp has hit it's registration cap. Every camp has a maximum number of campers that can attend. This number is based on the camp's physical space, number of instructors, equipment needed, and various other factors.
Once we have a waitlist for a camp, the only ways that a space will open up are for another previously registered camper to withdraw or for the instructor to determine that they can accept additional campers and increase the registration cap.
If you are on a waitlist and a space does open up for you, you receive an email directly from the online registration system (Active Network). This email will provide you 24 hours to sign up for the camp you were waitlisted for. If you do not register in that 24 hour window, the system will send the same email to the next person on the waitlist, that process will continue until someone does take the spot and finalizes the registration by paying the camp fee.
