For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.
We are thrilled to announce that we have surpassed our $15M goal and raised over $15.5M for Embrace Possibility, The Campaign for Ravenscroft. Thank you to all of our donors who believe in the mission of Ravenscroft and made this significant achievement possible. Your support of Every Raven, Every Day allows all of our Ravens to soar.

“Lead From Here gives us a shared language to talk
about the moral compass that we want to impart to
our students. We’re seeing it reflected in our new senior
speech program and college applications. It has been
a joy to see Ravenscroft grow and evolve as a result." -Kat Belk, Upper School Math Teacher, Senior Class Dean
“Support of the campaign is one way we can say ‘thank you’ for everything the faculty and staff have been doing for our kids every day.” -Katie Gillespie '95
Our Middle School students enjoy many opportunities for civic and community engagement. As their leadership competencies strengthen, they dig more deeply into issues or causes they are passionate about, exemplifying the model of engagement at the heart of Lead From Here. Enjoy these photos of students presenting their Ravens in Action projects; researching, writing letters about and hearing from local officials on issues related to urbanization; and engaging in community service.

With so much great news to share about our students — as athletes, leaders, artists, academics and more — and faculty and staff, it’s no wonder we can’t fit all of their photos in the magazine! Enjoy these albums featuring additional pictures of Ravens whose recent accomplishments are featured in Notes From the Nest, plus a video showcasing Quenton Blache ’19’s original strings composition, “Hunted,” which he composed at the Berklee High School Composition Intensive, held at Boston Conservatory in the summer of 2017. (His piece starts at 4:35, and he appears briefly at end of the piece to take a bow.)

Senior Commencement Speech
"I thought I was going to come up here and brag about some of our achievements as a class. All the state championships that people in our grade have won or their academic success or even their artistic and musical talent. But I feel that all of those achievements are incomparable to the impact that we have on each other in our everyday lives." -Akshay Lulla '18

A welcoming community has always been a core value at Ravenscroft. That value has become more important than ever as the school has grown to include more international students and families. Ravenscroft’s Global Parent Ambassadors, or GPA, was formed by parents in 2016 to strengthen that sense of community for international families and help share their cultures with others. Enjoy photos from some of the GPA’s activities on campus, plus photos and videos from Ravenscroft’s Culture Festival.
Tucker Street alumna Marriott Procter Little, a prolific visual artist, was inducted into Ravenscroft’s Fine Arts Hall of Fame this spring. Enjoy this 2012 video in which Little and several other Tucker Street alumni reminisce about special times at Ravenscroft’s original campus in downtown Raleigh.
