Chief Information Officer Jason Ramsden is one of three recipients of a prestigious award from the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools, the professional association for independent school technology directors.
State-championship swimmer Bode Ringenbach '21 has been named the Raleigh Sports Club Student-Athlete of the Week. RSC board members Rick Ulasewich and John Watkins were on hand Monday, March 22, to make the award presentation.
Ringenbach has earned six varsity letters in swimming at Ravenscroft and is a four-time NCISAA state champion. He's a two-time High School Swimming All-American in the 100 breaststroke and the Eastern Sectional Winner in the 200 breaststroke. Bode is also a Junior National finalist in the 200 breaststroke. In the classroom, he is a three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and a member of the National Honor Society, the Latin National Honor Society and the Art National Honor Society. Bode is also a member of the Ravenscroft Student-Athlete Leadership Training program (S.A.L.T.).
"Bode is a strong leader in the pool and out. He won the 200 freestyle (twice), 500 freestyle and 100 breaststroke events at the NCISAA State Championship meet over the last three seasons. He also set a new state record in the 100 breaststroke during his junior and senior years," Ravenscroft swim coach Greg Warren said. "Academically, he has performed just as well, taking both honors classes and AP courses throughout high school.
"I'm so excited to see Bode continue his impressive swimming career next year at George Washington. His overall speed and strength in the breaststroke and distance freestyle events will make an immediate impact on their program."

Assistant Athletic Director Kerry Norman said of Ringenbach, "In the years that I have known Bode, he has proven to be not only a gifted student and athlete but a person of excellent character. If asked, his classmates would use words like 'kind,' 'caring' and 'hard-working.' 'Humble' is the word that comes to my mind first, because Bode would be the last person to tell you about his athletic or academic achievements. He is a supportive and encouraging teammate."
Congratulations to Bode on this recognition!
