The Ravenscroft Boys and Girls Swim Teams competed in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association's State Championship Swim Meet on Monday, Feb. 10. Bode Ringenbach '21 continued his record-breaking season, breaking the NCISAA state record for 100 Breaststroke he set at the TISAC meet on Jan. 30 with a time of 56.34. He also won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:42.50.
Head coach Greg Warren said of Bode's record-breaking performances, "Bode set a new state record in the 100 Breaststroke during our conference meet a couple of weeks ago — but then a swimmer from Cannon School broke that record during the prelims. Bode, who was seeded third after the prelims, was able to win the event to set another new state record! He has had an amazing season."
The boys team finished fourth overall, with several Top 5 finishes in addition to Bode's wins, and the girls team placed 14th. Additional details on the meet will be available soon on the NCISAA website.
