Girls Golf Wins Third Consecutive TISAC Championship

The Ravenscroft Varsity Girls Golf team won the Triangle Independent Schools Athletic Conference Championship at Prestonwood Country Club on Monday, Oct. 15, shooting a team total of 254.

This victory was the Ravens' third consecutive TISAC Championship in a row and fourth overall (2011, 2016, 2017, 2018). The Ravens were led by Carson Jenkins '19 with a round of 80, Brooke Smith '22, who shot 85, and Teagan Hackim '20, who closed out the Ravens scoring with an 89. All three players earned All-TISAC honors.

Coach Matt Zeblo said of the team's performance, "I'm so proud of all of the girls and how much improvement they have shown over the course of this season. It's great to see them get rewarded with a conference championship, knowing how hard we've worked to get to this point. Their consistent play proved to be the difference maker when it mattered most."

The Ravens will compete in the NCISAA State Championship on October 22 and 23 at Whispering Pines Golf Club. They have performed well in the state tournament in past seasons, finishing as conference runner-up in 2011, 2016 and 2017.

Go, Ravens!
