College Board Recognizes 134 Ravens as AP Scholars

One hundred thirty-four Ravenscroft students have been recognized by the College Board as APⓇ Scholars for their exceptional achievement on Advanced Placement exams in 2019.

The College Board's AP Program provides motivated and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school. As a result of their successful performance on AP Exams, given in the spring of each year, students earn college credit, advanced college placement or both.

Some highlights from among Ravenscroft students' achievements on the exams from the 2018-19 school year include:

  • Thirteen students qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average score of 4 or higher (on a 5-point scale) on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.
  • Fifty-nine students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
