Brady O'Connell '20 signed his National Letter of Intent today to play basketball for the Old Dominion University Monarchs next year.
The 6'7" forward will be a key member of the 2019-20 varsity basketball team. During his junior season, he averaged 9.3 points per game and had a season-high 20 points on two occasions. Over the summer, O'Connell played for Team Felton.
Varsity basketball coach Kevin Billerman said of O'Connell, "Brady has developed into a wing with explosive scoring and defensive potential. His improved jump shot and ability to finish above the rim make him a steal for Old Dominion University and Coach Jeff Jones. Brady is a returning All-TISAC performer who demonstrated his skills at the NCAA Skills Academy this past summer. Good luck to Brady on a successful senior year and future at ODU."
Brady said of this accomplishment, "I want to thank all my coaches, trainers, teammates and friends who have helped me along the way. Most importantly, I want to thank my family, who stood by me and never gave up through this long and tough process."
