For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.
Three Ravenscroft art students have been recognized for their submissions to the Fine Arts League of Cary Teen Show.
Six Middle School students took the global Pegasus Mythology Exam in March, with all winning awards for their performance.
In 2001, Dr. and Mrs. R. Merrill Hunter established a scholarship to help attract and retain exceptional fine arts students. Parents of Katie Cecil '98, Chris '01, Matt ‘04, and Anna '08, the Hunters make this scholarship available to rising ninth grade students who are either new to the school or currently enrolled.
The Hunter Family Scholarship provides up to $4,000 of tuition for each year the recipient is enrolled and participates in the Upper School fine arts program. This scholarship also allows for a one-time gift up to $3,000 toward the cost of attending a fine arts enrichment opportunity.
Applications are reviewed by a committee comprised of representatives from each of the Upper School fine arts disciplines, and may include practicing artists within the community. The students selected after these initial reviews are invited for a live interview and presentation or performance.
