For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.

Jim Gibbons joined Ravenscroft in 2008 as an Assistant Athletic Director for Technical Services. He is the head coach of the varsity football andbaseball teams, oversees the Student-Athlete Leadership Training program, and is a physical education teacher. Before coming to Ravenscroft, Coach Gibbons spent five years teaching physical education and coaching as an assistant coach for football, wrestling, and baseball at The Westminster Schools (Atlanta, Ga.). Coach Gibbons coached for 13 years collegiately from 1990 to 2002 at Wingate University, The University at Buffalo, Buffalo State College, Cornell University, and Ithaca College. Coach Gibbons played football at Ithaca College for Coach Jim Butterfield and was a member of the 1988 Division III National Champions. In 2012, Coach Gibbons completed the process to claim the title of "Certified Athletic Administrator" from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administration Association. Gibbons has also completed NFHS National Certifications for Accredited and Certified Interscholastic Coaching Certifications and completed The NFHS Coach Certification program levels 1, 2, and 3. He is a member of the American Football Coaching Association (AFCA), The National Football Foundation (NFF), The American Baseball Coaching Association (ABCA), The High School Baseball Coaches Association (BCA), and The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). Coach Gibbons holds a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Ithaca College (Ithaca, NY) and a Master's Degree in Student Personnel Administration from SUNY College at Buffalo.
