For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.

Coach Van Veen began his coaching tenure at Ravenscroft in 2021, serving as the Head Coach for Cross Country and Assistant Coach for Track & Field. He competed in both sports throughout high school and at Florida State University. Prior to joining Ravenscroft, he held assistant coaching roles at several schools in Florida before relocating to Raleigh. Coach Van Veen remains an active runner who continues to train and race, and he is committed to supporting student-athletes as they work toward their goals and develop strength, confidence, and character.
Brittany Schutte joined Ravenscroft in2021 as a physical education teacher for grades 4 through 8. In addition to teaching, she serves as the head coach of the varsity softball team, an assistant coach for the varsity cross country team, and the coach for middle school girls' green basketball. Before coming to Ravenscroft, Coach Schutte spent eight years teaching PE at Oak Hall School (Gainesville, FL), where she also coached flag football, soccer, basketball, softball, cross country, and baseball. Before teaching, Coach Schutte played softball for the University of Florida while earning a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Educational Studies. To date, Coach Schutte still holds the highest single-season slugging percentage record (.780) and the most home runs in a single season (22) in UF history. Following her time in Gainesville, she earned a Master of Science in Physical Education from the University of South Florida. Coach Schutte has represented Team USA in the sports of softball and baseball. In 2011, she helped USA Softball bring home a gold medal. She was then a member of USA Baseball in 2018 & 2019, finishing her career with a second gold medal.
