Coaches

Greg Long

Head Coach

Coach Long joined the faculty at Ravenscroft in the fall of 1984, teaching physical education in the Lower and Middle school. He currently teaches grades 1-4 and grade 8 P.E. along with a health unit in eighth grade. He received his B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he played baseball for the Spartans. Coach Long is currently the Head Coach of the J.V. football team and Head Coach of the J.V. baseball team. He formerly was the Head coach of the Varsity baseball team, earning recognition as the 2004 NCISAA Coach of the Year. Coach Long also works at many of Ravenscroft’s summer camps including the football, basketball, and baseball camps.

Rodney Wolf

Assistant Coach

Coach Rodney Wolf brings over 25 years of football experience to his first season with Ravenscroft School, where he serves as the Junior Varsity Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs Coach. A native of Long Beach, CA, Coach Wolf played varsity football at Grover Cleveland High School in Reseda,CA where he excelled as a running back and defensive back. After graduation, he continued his playing career at Santa Barbara City College, competing for two seasons at the junior college level. He then played semi-professional football for three years with the Santa Barbara Seminoles, finishing each season ranked in the top five for all-purpose yards. Following his final season on the field, Coach Wolf shifted his focus to coaching. He returned to his alma mater, Cleveland High School, to begin his coaching journey. Now entering his 10th year on the sidelines, Coach Wolf brings passion, energy, and a deep understanding of the game to every practice and play.
