Ravens win TISAC Championship with a one under par 279. Quinn Riley won the individual title for the second straight year with a 4 under par 66. Kenan Poole had a 70, Chase Tickle 71, and Kyle Kushnir 72. Other Ravens scores were Lee Plummer 73 and James Castleman 76.

Quinn Riley won the Player of the Year for the conference. He was joined on the all conference team by Kenan Poole, Lee Plummer, Chase Tickle and Kyle Kushnir.

Quinn Riley shot 72-72=144 to make all state for the second straight year. Other stellar rounds included Chase Tickle with a 73 in round one and Kyle Kushnir with a 72 in round 2.

Coaches

  • Head Coach
    Coach Cox joined the faculty full time at Ravenscroft in 1976 after working as an off campus coach in the 1975-76 school year. During his time at the school, he has taught all levels of Physical Education and currently serves as the middle and upper school department chair. He has also presented at several physical education workshops around the state and has had some of his activities published in PE journals, newsletters, and activity books. He won the 1997 Helton Award for teaching excellence, and he also won the Floyd Woody Award for being the outstanding participant in the 2005 Fall Physical Education Leadership Workshop. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Coach Cox has coached numerous sports while at Ravenscroft including: Varsity Golf, Varsity Basketball, JV Basketball, Ninth-Grade Basketball, Middle School Basketball, JV Football, Varsity Football assistant, and JV Tennis. His 1980 boys’ varsity basketball team won the NCISAA State Championship, and his golf teams have won the NCISAA State Championship seven times including 1998, 2000, 2005, 2007, 2008 , 2009 and 2017. He was inducted into the Ravenscroft Sports Hall of Fame in 2005, and the Middle School court is named in his honor.
