Jim Gibbons joined Ravenscroft in 2008 as an Assistant Athletic Director-Technical Services. He is the head coach of the varsity baseball team, a varsity football assistant coach and physical education teacher. Prior to coming to Ravenscroft, Coach Gibbons spent five years teaching physical education and an assistant coach for football, wrestling, and baseball at the Westminster Schools (Atlanta, Ga.). Coach Gibbons coached for 13 years collegiately from 1990 to 2002 at Wingate University, University at Buffalo, Buffalo State College, Cornell University, and Ithaca College. Coach Gibbons played at Ithaca College for Coach Jim Butterfield and was a member of the 1988 Division III National Champions. His physical education responsibilities include teaching 9th grade physical education, Upper School Fitness Education elective, and Middle School physical education. In 2012, Coach Gibbons completed the process to claim the title of "Certified Athletic Administrator" from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administration Association.
