Ellen Mann O’Connor ’98 is a freelance marketing communications consultant.
Previously, O’Connor served as Marketing Leader for GE Capital’s Access GE team. In this role, she was responsible for driving the GE brand through the development and execution of an integrated marketing plan, focused on digital strategy and global customer service programs.
O’Connor joined GE in 2002 as a member of the two-year Leadership Development Program, focused on marketing and commercial development across all GE channels. After leaving LDP, she joined GE Capital, where she held roles of increasing responsibility over the next 15 years in a variety of areas including marketing, communications, sales force effectiveness and organizational development. She also has deep experience in executive, organizational and crisis communications and is Six Sigma Green Belt-certified.
She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, where she earned her B.A. in English language and literature. O’Connor previously served on the Ravenscroft Alumni Council and is a current board member of Diaper Train of Wake County and previous board chair of Hayes Barton United Methodist Preschool. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, Patrick, and two children, Jack ’35 and Libby.
