Shawn Morrison ’94

Shawn Morrison ’94 is the senior director of partner success in the fundraising division of EAB, a higher-education marketing and consulting firm. He manages the team that serves as the main point of contact for the company’s development partners across the country. Prior to joining EAB in May 2021, Shawn led the development office at The Steward School, an independent school in Richmond, Virginia. As the Director of Development, he guided fundraising efforts, served as a member of Steward’s executive leadership team and worked with the Board of Trustees and other volunteers on philanthropic engagement. 

Morrison’s introduction to higher education fundraising began with the annual fund at Duke University. His career developed further when he joined the advancement team at his alma mater, University of Richmond, gaining experience as a major gifts officer, director of prospect research and director of annual giving. 

A graduate of Ravenscroft, Morrison holds two degrees from the University of Richmond — a B.A. in mathematics with a secondary education concentration (1998) and a Master of Liberal Arts with a concentration in philanthropy (2014). He, his wife, Erica, and their two sons, Manning and Caleb, live in Richmond.
