For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.
Satish Mathan
Mathan has held multiple leadership positions in the healthcare industry and is recognized as a driving force for change, both locally and nationally. Beginning clinical practice with Raleigh Radiology in 2005, he became the President and Managing Partner of Raleigh Radiology in 2013. During his tenure, Mathan has more than doubled the organization’s scale by increasing its footprint to provide increased imaging availability and solidify its position as the market leader in value-based imaging in the Triangle. Under his leadership, Raleigh Radiology has also expanded service lines to include unique and highly specialized services, such as pediatric cardiac MRI and interventional neuroradiology/acute stroke management.
Mathan serves on several corporate boards including Collaborative Imaging, a national managed service organization for Independent Radiology groups, and is actively engaged in creating similar organizations in other healthcare markets. His experience in governance and consensus-building has helped him successfully lead and advise horizontal physician organizations to grow and thrive in a cohesive way. Mathan serves on volunteer boards including the WakeMed Foundation and the Executive Committee of the North Carolina Radiological Society in addition to being active in the North Carolina Medical Society and other national physician organizations.
In clinical practice, Mathan’s interests include interventional radiology procedures such as uterine fibroid embolization, interventional oncology, treatment of varicose veins and noninvasive vascular imaging.
Mathan has a B.Sc. from the University of California-Santa Barbara and an M.D. from Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at UNC-Chapel Hill and his fellowship in Interventional Radiology at UNC-Chapel Hill.
