For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.
Santo J. Costa, Vice President (also serves as Vice Chair)
Santo “Sandy” Costa joined the Ravenscroft board in July 2012.
Costa joined Quintiles Transnational Corp. as President and Chief Operating Officer in April 1994 at the time of its initial public offering (IPO). He was named Vice Chairman in December 1999 and held that position until May 2001. Prior to joining Quintiles, Costa spent 23 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Administration and General Counsel of Glaxo Inc., where he sat on the company’s board of directors and executive committee.
Costa has served on the board of directors of numerous companies and currently sits on the board of Cytokinetics and Aquestive. He is Of Counsel to the law firm Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan.
Costa received his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University. He is the author of the book “Humanity at Work: Encouraging Spirit, Achievement & Truth to Flourish in the Workplace” (2008).
He and his wife, Jean, have three children.
