Kevin Keim, Vice President (also serves as Vice Chair)

Kevin Keim GP’22 joined the board in 2014. His career spans more than 50 years of international research and discovery, clinical research, drug development and regulatory experience with more than 600 clinical trial experiences. Now retired, Keim served most recently as chief development officer at Paidion Research, Inc. He embraces global business and strategic drug and device development opportunities in pediatrics. 

Keim is a previous five-year board director of INC Research. He also served as president, CEO and board director of venture-backed Vela Pharmaceuticals Inc., a repurposing specialty pharma opportunity, where he led the team in raising $85M in venture capital investment. Prior to Vela Pharmaceuticals Inc., he was president of Quintiles Pacific, Inc., where he provided executive leadership and directive consultative development solutions to the global CNS therapeutics effort. His 23 formative years in the pharmaceutical industry were spent at Hoffmann-LaRoche and (Ayerst-)Wyeth Research. Collectively with his experience at Vela Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Keim has preclinical and clinical development experience in psychiatry, neurology, sleep medicine, pain management, movement disorders, cardiovascular, woman’s health and GI, as well as strategic regulatory consultation.

Keim served as director of Clinilabs, Inc. He is a previous board director of the American Society of Experimental NeuroTherapeutics (ASENT), NeuroMedix, Inc., the Pennsylvania BioTech Center of Bucks County, Affiliated Research Corporation (San Diego), Princeton BioMedical Corp and K.L.Keim Consultancy Group, LLC. He served on the advisory board to the dean of sciences of New York University. 

Keim received his doctorate from New York University and his Master of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. His undergraduate work was done at Delaware Valley University (Doylestown, Pennsylvania), where he currently serves as a trustee of the board and the chair of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee. Keim is also active as a scientific board advisor to Shearwater Health Life Science (Nashville, Tennessee) and is a member of a variety of professional societies and has a distinguished record of peer-review publications.

He is a grandparent to two Ravenscroft alumni in the Class of 2022.
