For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.
Jennifer (Jenny) Nims Winston
Jenny Winston P’18 ’19 ’22 is a native of Columbus, Ohio, attended Ohio State, and had a successful career in sales and customer service in Chicago and Atlanta before marrying and becoming a mom. She and her husband, Charles ’78, moved to his hometown of Raleigh with their three young children in 2005.
Winston is deeply involved at Ravenscroft and has held many volunteer positions over the years in the classroom, with the Parents’ Association, Athletics and the Advancement and Admissions offices across all three divisions of the school. Along with her husband, Winston co-chaired the school’s Embrace Possibility campaign and helped raise $15M to fund endowments for Lead From Here, financial aid, student support programs, and the Fund For Ravenscroft.
She and her family enjoy membership at Christ Church, where she volunteers and served for five years in a leadership role working with clergy on the Pastoral Care Commission. Winston also sits on the WakeMed Foundation Board and is helping raise money for the Alliance Medical Ministry campaign alongside Pete Tannenbaum.
