For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.
Jason Anklowitz
Jason Anklowitz P’35 ’37 has accumulated a wealth of K-12 experience over two-and-a-half decades in education, beginning with Teach for America in the Washington, DC, public schools and continuing with private, independent schools both within the United States and overseas.
Trained as a reading specialist, Anklowitz was a classroom teacher in each grade from Kindergarten through fifth grade before moving into administration. Twice a Head of School, Anklowitz has led reviews designed to boost every aspect of a school community, from teaching and learning to strategy and advancement. Prior to his current work as a consultant focused on workforce management in healthcare, Anklowitz helped develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for companies selling products into schools.
A native of New Jersey, Anklowitz lived in Madrid, Spain and Trieste, Italy, over a nine-year period before bouncing between U.S. coasts and ultimately settling in Raleigh with his wife, Kate, and their three children. Anklowitz holds a B.A. in history from The George Washington University, where he was a four-year member and senior captain of the crew team. He later earned a master’s degree in education from Harvard University with an emphasis on language and literacy and an MBA from the University of California - Los Angeles.
