For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.
Geoff Krouse
Since August 2016, Geoff Krouse P’22 ’22 ’26 has served as the Assistant Dean for Alumni and Development and as a Senior Lecturing Fellow (teaching Mergers & Acquisitions) at Duke Law School. As Assistant Dean, he manages the Major Gifts and Annual Giving teams, drives critical strategic fundraising initiatives and serves as Regional Director in key alumni markets like New York. He also is a member of the dean’s senior administrative team and collaborates regularly with the other Duke Law deans and with University-wide colleagues.
Prior to his roles at Duke, Krouse practiced law for almost 20 years in the areas of corporate finance, private equity and mergers & acquisitions, and he remains Of Counsel at Smith Anderson in Raleigh, where he had been a partner and practiced since 2005. Prior to Smith Anderson, Geoff was a corporate lawyer in New York City at the national law firm Vinson & Elkins.
In addition to his busy law practice, Krouse had been a dedicated volunteer for Duke and Duke Law School, including service on the board of directors of the Duke Law Alumni Association. He has also held various nonprofit board positions in the Triangle, including six years as a member (two as chair) of the Board of Trustees of the Ronald McDonald House of Durham and Wake, as well as board terms for the Montessori School of Raleigh, the Association for Corporate Growth (RTP Chapter) and Freedom United. Geoff earned his B.A. in public policy from Duke University (1993) and his J.D. from Duke Law School (1997).
He and his wife, Anne, have three daughters, Grace ’22, Caroline ’22 and Kate ’26.
