For the fourth year in a row, Ravenscroft's student-led fundraising team for Crucial Catch has been recognized as the top fundraising school in the nation, exceeding their goal of $30,000 by more than $6,000, and once again winning the prestigious Pink Cleat Award.
Frances (Fran) P. Pugh, Vice President (also serves as Vice Chair)
Fran Pugh P’76 ’78 ’80 ’86 has served on the board for more than 50 consecutive years, first joining in 1969. She has served on the committees for finance, development, and buildings and grounds. As neighbors to the campus, the Pughs have hosted many barbecue, picnics and cross-country practices and meets at Tara Farm. Her husband, Dr. V. Watson Pugh, Jr. ’38, a pediatrician who retired in 2001, served for many years as the Ravenscroft school physician. They are also parents, grandparents and now great-grandparents of Ravens.
At Ravenscroft’s 2009 commencement ceremonies, Fran Pugh was inducted into the Class of 1862, conferring upon her honorary alumna status at the school.
