FAQ

How to Register

Registration for all Ravenscroft Summer Programs will be processed online. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and many camps will fill up quickly. Therefore, we encourage early registration. The online registration system will remain open and available until the first day of individual camps. Online registration for Summer 2018 camps will open in February 2018.

Confirmation Email

At the conclusion of the online registration process you will receive a confirmation email sent to the email address that you provided during registration. This email is automatic and is sent via the online system as soon as the registration is processed.

**It is important that you retain this email, as it contains all of the pertinent information (time, date, campus location, etc.) related to the camp(s) that you have registered your child for.**

You will not receive any additional confirmation of your registration other than this email so, as stated earlier, it is important for you to retain it so that you can access the camp information it contains. If you feel that you did not receive a confirmation email, please check for it in all of your inbox folders (including spam), if you are unable to locate it, then contact the Summer Programs Office.

Camper Eligibility

The Ravenscroft Summer Programs team strives to create an environment in which each and every camper can experience a fun and memorable time on our campus. It is our pledge to our Summer Programs families that we will promote and maintain a safe, positive environment that encourages self-confidence and personal development while taking part in all of our camp programs.

With this philosophy in mind, if your child has a physical/medical condition that may require an accommodation in order for him or her to participate in the event, activity or program in which you are considering registering them we ask that you contact our Summer Programs Director, Mr. Sandy Kapatos, prior to your registration. This contact will allow for the opening of a dialogue to determine whether or not the specific camp program(s) will be appropriate for your child.

Methods of Payment

Our online registration system will accept Visa, Discover and Master Cards. Electronic Bank checks are also acceptable and should be made payable to Ravenscroft School. Full payment for all camps is due at time of registration.

Refund Policy

All summer programs require a minimum enrollment. In the event the program must be canceled, you will be notified at least four weeks prior to the start date. The entire program fee will be fully refundable when the program is canceled by Ravenscroft. All other program fees are refundable as follows:

  1. Cancellations received on or before May 15 will be entitled to a full refund less a $25.00 cancellation fee per program.
  1. There will be no refund if cancellation takes place after a program begins or if a camper is suspended from a program due to failure to abide by Ravenscroft code of conduct. Verified medical/hardship situations will be dealt with on an individual basis.
  1. There will be no refund if a child is suspended from a program due to parent behavior.

Concurrent Discounts

Ravenscroft offers a "concurrent" discount when a camper is registered in two camps that take place simultaneously. This occurs when a child is registered as a camper in full-day Camp Ravens Nest and then another half-day camp. In this case, the cost of Camp Ravens Nest is discounted because the camper is not there the entire day. Our online registration system will automatically process the discount if you sign up for the camps at the same time.

However, if you sign up your child for Camp Ravens Nest and then add another camp during that same week at another time, the system will not process the discount. If this is the case, please contact the Summer Programs office and we can process the discount manually.

Pick Up/Drop Off Policy

Campers are to be dropped off and picked up promptly at the classroom or designated camp location. Families who leave their children unattended on campus will be subject to their child being suspended from the camp program. A campus map is included in the confirmation email that registrants receive at the conclusion of the registration process.

Ravenscroft also posts summer camp staff at three locations throughout the campus on Monday mornings to help you find your camp program.

Sign-In/Sign-Out Policy

Starting in the summer of 2015, Ravenscroft introduced a new policy that deals with camper pick up/drop off. Every day, at every camp a parent, guardian or another adult must sign their camper in during drop off. At the conclusion of camp, this same person, or another adult who was listed on the sign in sheet, must return to pick up the child and sign them out of camp. This policy will be enforced in a way that guarantees camper safety, which is our paramount concern.

Medication Policy

Neither Ravenscroft Summer Programs, nor its staff, can in any way assume responsibility for dispensing medication to campers, nor can Ravenscroft Summer Programs or its staff assure that a camper has taken their medication. It is the responsibility of the camper to self-medicate.

If the parent or legal guardian does not believe their child can assume full responsibility for his/her medical needs, then Ravenscroft Summer Programs may not be appropriate for your child.
