On a night when Ravenscroft honored senior Ryan Kelly for
breaking the school's all-time scoring record, it was junior Luke Davis who
stole the show with a school record-tying seven three-pointers, leading the
Ravens to a 94-43 win over Durham Academy.
Davis had 21 points and seven assists, and tied the mark set
by UNC's Marc Campbell during the 2003-04 season against Eastern Alamance.
Kelly, who on Jan. 19 set the school's all-time scoring mark,
finished with 22 points and three blocks on 11-of-14 shooting. Before the game,
Kelly was honored for the breaking the record previously held by Corwin Davis
(1997-2001) of 1,750 points. Kelly was also awarded a USA Basketball plaque for
his contributions to the Men's National U-18 team which won the silver medal at
the 2008 FIBA Americas Championship in Formosa, Argentina.
All 12 Ravenscroft players scored versus the Cavaliers, with
the Ravens dominating the game from the outset. The Ravens led 46-20 at
halftime, and 74-38 after three quarters.
Ravenscroft is now 21-5 overall and 3-0 in the TISAC league.
