Event Recap: The Ravenscroft Varsity Boys Basketball team improved to 18-5 with an 88-41 win at Wake Christian on Thursday, Jan. 22. The Ravens jumped out to a 30-9 lead after one quarter, and led 62-13 at halftime.
Senior Ryan Kelly led all scorers with 20 points on 10-of-12 shooting, and had eight rebounds, 2 blocks, three steals, and three assists. Three other Ravens were also in double figures in scoring: senior Matt Wilson (13 points on 4-of-4 shooting, four rebounds, four steals); junior Watts Winston (10 points); and senior Hampton Story (10). Ravenscroft will open TISAC league play at North Raleigh Christian Academy on Friday, Jan. 23 at 7:45 p.m. The Ravens have not lost a conference game since the 2005-06 season and are the two-time defending TISAC Tournament Champions.
