Freedom from Chemical Dependency: Renee Soulis

Renee Soulis, Senior Prevention Specialist with the world's largest non-profit organization dedicated to providing prevention education services for schools, Freedom from Chemical Dependency (FCD), will share her expertise with the Ravenscroft community on Nov. 20-21.
On Wednesday, Nov. 20, Ms. Soulis invites faculty to join her for dinner in the Parents' Association Room, Library & Technology Center, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. She will then present a program in the Christina B. Jones Theatre from 7 - 8:15 p.m. for all school parents. This is an interactive presentation where questions and discussion are encouraged.

2. The warning signs of use.
2. Tips for communicating with teens
4. The social norms approach to prevention education
On Thursday, Nov. 21, Ms. Soulis will speak to the first combined meeting of the Parents' Association and the DADS (Dads and Daughters and Sons) group from 8-9 a.m. in the Parents' Association Room. She will also spend the rest of the day meeting with Middle and Upper School students and faculty.
Renee Soulis, Senior Prevention Specialist
A 30-year FCD veteran, Renee has served in a variety of positions for the organization, including health educator, scheduling director, curriculum coordinator, education director, director of client relations and her current positions as a Senior Prevention Specialist and Regional Officer. A graduate of George Williams College in Chicago, Renee earned a BA in humanities with a concentration in group dynamics. She has authored articles and papers on prevention education topics and has presented at conferences around the world.
