One of the things that makes the Ravenscroft Fine Arts program stand out is the experience of the faculty. Julie Cardillo is one of the many faculty members who not only teaches art, but lives it. Her art collection, Groundlessness, is being featured at the Nature Art Gallery in the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh.

Six of our singing Ravens will be representing Ravenscroft this year in the North Carolina Honors Chorus in November.

This summer, Matt Sheaffer '18 played Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the North Carolina Theatre. Matt has been involved in many Fine Arts departments, from string orchestra to voice to, of course, leading roles in the school's musicals and drama productions.

Middle School band students receive Superior rating at NC Bandmasters Association Music Performance Adjudication

Seventh and eighth grade band students performed at the NC Bandmasters Association Music Performance Adjudication on Monday, March 14th. They were the only Grade III Band to earn a Superior rating (the highest rating) from all four judges!

Nine Upper School Strings and Band students performed in the North Carolina 2016 Eastern Regional Orchestra on February 21 at the North Carolina School of Science and Math in Durham. They were selected after rigorous auditions (including performance of a collegiate-level piece, execution of scales and arpeggios, and sight-reading) before a panel of judges in January to perform along with about 225 high schoolers from eastern North Carolina.
