The mission of the Parents' Association at Ravenscroft School is to assist in the promotion of excellence for the Ravenscroft community through active parent/guardian involvement.
On behalf of the Parents’ Association (PA), we would like to welcome new and returning families to Ravenscroft for the 2017/18 school year! We encourage all parents to consider becoming involved in the PA. Parent volunteers allow us to provide the diverse array of events, fundraisers and special programs that help us to achieve our mission. Furthermore, becoming involved as a volunteer in the PA allow parents, students, faculty and staff to have fun and engage with one another while at the same time supporting the school.
Please review the 2017/18 PA Event Highlights to see upcoming volunteer opportunities and reach out to us, or any of our Steering Committee members, if you have any questions or would like to know more.
Looking forward to the year ahead!

Again this year, Ravenscroft is partnering with Jersey Mike’s to host a $3 sub sandwich fundraiser benefitting Ravens Go Local for Ravenscroft School. Coupons for $3 subs will be distributed to all Ravenscroft families and friends. Coupons can be redeemed at the Jersey Mike’s store on Falls of Neuse (you pay $3 and get a 6 inch sub!) The best part is that the entire $3 is returned to Ravenscroft as a donation.
The Book Fair is a five-day, annual fundraising event at Ravenscroft that provides students and parents the opportunity to purchase an exciting array of reading materials. Visiting authors are invited to share their talents with the school community during this special week. The Book Fair will also have a late Spring online component for students to purchase all required summer reading books as well as required reading material for English courses for the upcoming school year. All proceeds from the Book Fair are directed to the school’s media centers.
Volunteers are needed to help sort books, set up and decorate for the event, and restock books, as well as assist children with book selections.
Ravens Go Local reminds us we are an integral part of our neighboring community. There are many innovative ways the PA can earn “free” money from local and national retail establishments such as Harris Teeter, Office Depot and Target. Ravens Go Local secures discounts from retailers for school use and works to secure lunches for staff during conference lunches. Volunteers research programs that donate money and gifts back to Ravenscroft. Volunteers also help develop creative ways to register parents, friends and family for these programs, so the school will earn the maximum benefit from these community dollars! For questions, contact Behnaz Atree, Jen Corigliano or Karen Taber.
