Three Ravenscroft senior student-athletes have committed to play collegiate athletics.
Swimmer Mary Pruden '18 committed to Columbia University (New York, NY). Pruden is one of Ravenscroft's most decorated swimmers of her time. She has been a member of two state team championships, in 2015 and 2016. Pruden, a co-captain, is a two-time individual and four-time relay state champion, currently holds three individual school records (200 IM, 200 free, 500 free) and is a member of two relay school records (200 medley, 400 free). The 400 free relay, which she anchored, set a new state record last season. Pruden is also a six-time individual and six-time relay champion and has never lost a race at the TISAC Championship meet.
Patrick Ednie '18 committed to play lacrosse at St. John's University (Queens, NY). Ravenscroft lacrosse coach Sandy Kapatos said, "We're extremely proud of Patrick's accomplishment. He has embraced our program's culture and has worked very hard to become the leader that he is. The St. John's coaching staff saw the value in Patrick's character and ability and jumped at the opportunity to have him become a part of their program. We're expecting a very productive senior year from Patrick as we plan to compete for the state championship."
Calvin Atkeson '18 will continue his football career at Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH). Atkeson, a three-year starter at tackle, is a two-time NCISAA All-State and two-time Big East Independent Football All-Conference offensive lineman. He was a member of the 2015 NCISAA Division II state championship team. Atkeson is also the defending 287-pound NCISAA Wrestling state champion.
