The  Hugh Morton, Jr. Art Collection began in 1996 as a gift from Morton family friend Bob Timberlake, and is supported by the family. Each year, members of the Morton Committee visit different art venues and choose art for the collection. The committee currently consists of 12 students, four faculty members and former Upper School teacher Pansy Morton.

The Morton Committee’s role is to enhance the community’s appreciation of contemporary art by visiting galleries, museums and artists’ studios to select works of art, which are added to this collection.
